Ehm, Jerkes:
Yesterday me and 5 others had a 1k run. The run is almost finished, mission complete, 4 of us pay and the other doesn't. We are still ingame, and the runner is holding the last objective, waiting for the guy/girl to pay. We ask why he/she doesn't pay: no reaction.
After 5 minutes it becomes clear: He/She ain't got 1k! -_-

Other thing, pretty funny:
Random arena's. We have 1 leaver at the start, leaving me (a trapper ranger), an other trapper and a warrior(or was it ele :/). Well, we place some traps at the gate and stay at the spawn point.
The enemy starts a bit of taunting, and say:
"Ha, we already have 8 wins" and "omg come here and fight" and that stuff.
But we are not stupid and stay where we are.
Eventually they attack and we slaugther them completely xD...
And guess what? Yes, they start flaming :P

i joined a guild when i was in pre. the guild leader seemed to be very nice. i thought i could trust him. so when he asked for some money, i said "sure, why not?" I gave him almost all my money(1,750g), and he said he'll pay me back as soon as possible. well, days go by and i messeged him occasionally reminding him that he needed to pay me back. after a week or so, i press "g" to see who is on from my guild, and i notice that the guild leader has changed. i ask the memebers where the previous leader is and they said that he took all their money and left(so the previous leader did the same thing he did to me to the other members). apart from that, nothing serious has happened. although i sometimes encounter people who randomly leave during a mission after they die.

I got onetoo, was helping a mate with the quest together with another guildie. We had no trouble getting the party together (we were doing it when europe didn't have favor) and went off pretty soon. In our party was this 55 hp mesmer / ele build which turned out to be a solo build and pretty useless in a group. Kept dying and must have used finally used a candy cane after she could only be ressed with a signet (was a female character, so I'll refer to her as she).

Anyways things didn't go bad except for her dying, we actually made good progress, until we came to the minotaur part. She insisted on tanking them alone, cause she could take em. We all aggreed and off she went. Although she could tank em, we all noticed it was going pretty slow and an ele starts to meteor shower the group, which breaks aggro. So she goes into a fit about the meteor shower and we stop helping. Next group of minotaurs she must have decided that it was indeed going slow, because she aggroed not only the next group but a whole lot more. She has a mass of the buggers around her and we all watch from a distance.... Then she dies, chaos, pandemonium, hell breaks lose, apart from a ne/mo who had kept a greater distance everybody dies. After being ressed we all continue.

We reached the last map with and were discussing strategies, the team spirit was broken and everybody ended up doing different stuff. In the progress a whole lot of those nasty creeps just before galrath got aggroed and the whole team was basically being slaughtered again. I had enough of that, I rushed past em thinking "well if these are all busy fighting I can run through to galrath and there's nothing but lowlevel bandits there". Reached galrath, echo + meteor shower + meteor shower + immolate + rodgart invocation makes a very dead galrath.... If only we had not listened to the 55 hp solo build, it woulda been a much better experience.

I have had alot of jerk encounters but this one was is the best. I was doing Elona Reach mission with my w/mo and well PUGs were few and far between. A n/w gets me into his group were he has a w/n, mo/me, w/e, and e/mo already. I don't leave since most "lfg w/(insert 2nd prof)". Well we get in mission and get to the brigde were n/w(meleemancer but a bad one) and w/n(raising bone minions) decide to fight on the brigde with the monk boss there and 6 other mobs. I then notice the n/w is nowhere near us but died trying to grab the 2nd crystal. Our mo/me dies and leaves followed by the e/mo. We all die and rezone back the n/w grabs a w/mo, w/n(different one), r/mo and Alesia. He starts the mission quickly and I stay since I say lets fight to the 2nd crystal and run the 3rd from the back. They don't listen to me at all. Well right at the start the minotaurs killed all except me. The other w/mo tells me to just die since I probably don't have rez

(I always carry a solid rez(that is my whole reason for the monk 2nd) except when solo farming). I killed the remaining 7 minotaurs with no difficulty and rez the group. Moving on the group once again rushes the brigde except me and the other w/mo. The w/mo points herself as the leader but the n/w wants to lead too. N/W runs off dies by the crystal again. Hard battle ensues but we finally killed them all, rezzed and got the 2nd crystal. We go back give the crystal to the ghost and the w/mo is complaining how no one listens, this mission is easy, and she has done it 12 times blah blah blah. Well instead of heading the back way the group rushes into the doorway to the 3rd crystal of the charge is led by n/w and w/mo

. They died I run off and survive with the r/mo. Aggro is still coming for us and the timer is at 8 mins where the n/w starts saying how he will just get his guild to run him through later. The w/mo is screaming why she gets put in incompetent groups and always has to do the mission over and over again. The r/mo tries to rez but get aggro and dies so I am left with my restore life and aggro waiting. Everyone leave except the w/n and alesia(thank god for henchies at least they don't leave). I tell him I can do the mission just I need his help(meatshield). I rez him and the henchie lead to the back area(near the first priest) he aggros I grab the crystal run off and finish the mission

still with 6 mins on the timer
I message the n/w and w/mo who would not listen to me but I do thank them since I could not have got to the 2nd crystal without them

A jerk move on my part but they will live.

I just had another 2 jerk experiences (I guess I'll have more now that the holidays are over).

Jerk the 1st
I was playing my monk (pure heal setup) and got in a group that was saying "fighting to Gates of Kryta" (from Beacons Perch). I wanted to take this character nice and slow so I join up.

We get start going and I notice that the last person added to group was a wammo lvl 20 (the rest of us were 11-16). The wammo casts mend and is off like a shot. No one knows where he went. We get about halfway to the cave and get zoned...no big deal, but everyone is saying "I thought we were fighting?!?!"
Wammo "I was going to run there anyway so I thought I'd tag along with your group" (he says this while running past all the ettins)
Everyone "We really wanted to fight through...don't just run ahead"
Wammo "Ok, I won't zone"

We get through to the next area and he is off again, and saying "when we get to Gates of Kryta, DON'T pick up the quest. I can run you the rest of the way to LA." Again everyone is saying "Wait, we want to fight through..." He zoned again whe we were about halfway there.

Jerk the 2nd
I finish Gates of Kryta, with an exceptional group even though the nec in the group died so much we couldn't ressurect her with spells only with signet (her max health with 60%DP was 5!!), and go on to Seaboard. Only one group started. I join up, again as pure healer. We head out but one of the party never actually gets into mission so we are doing it with 5 only. No real problem there.
The first fight goes ok, except that I healed this N/W (different than last mission), with a name that ended in Fooked (classy huh?), more than the entire rest of the group...by a huge margin. Second fight, same thing. 90% of my resources/time are spent on this one N/W (thought he was a tank I guess). We get close to the 3rd fight and he starts asking one of our warriors what kind of shield he is using and how much he would sell it for.
War "the one I am using??"
Fooked "yeah"
War "not for sale, I am using it"
Fooked "How much you want for it"
War "offer"
Fooked "700"
War "no, pm me after and we will talk"
Fooked "800"
War "no, pm me after mission"
We save the kid to get the bonus activated. All the while Fooked is trying to get everyone swords, sheilds, axes, etc. All the fights are very difficult for me because I am still spending 90% on Fooked.
Me "we need to call targets, we are too scattered on attacks"
Fooked *leaves* (4 left)
2 seconds later
War *leaves* (3 left)
Now our group is made up of me (pure heal monk lvl 16), a R/Me with pet (lvl 11), and another R/something with pet (lvl 13). I never broke a sweat on healing for the rest of the mission and bonus, only one pet died (just once), and the rest of the mission took us about the same amount of time as before everyone left...
Amazing what you can do with just a few competent players and no one throwing a wrench in everything

Was maybe a week ago, in competion arenas, i played as my monk.
I enter mission and come in a team with 2 W/Mo's(both lvl 20) and 1 E/Me (lvl 19) , i think, whatever the ele can still be a skilled player

Wamos first cast mending and live vicariously on themselfs, then realize that they got a lvl 19 on there team.

Wamo nr 1: omfg noob go play pve
Wamo nr 1 has left the game
Wamo nr 2 says nothing and leaves too.

I stay, just for fun, and we manage to surive for a little while

but in the end we losed.

I mean... if you want a perfect team , go to team arenas... And a lvl 19 can still be a skilled player..

biggest jerk I found was someone in Ascalon City. I was selling near perfect swords all max with good bonuses +14%>50% etc etc and this guy has a look and says theyre crap (one had +7ar against melee and +29hp). he then shows me his stuff including shield and his armour??..lol. Biggest laugh was that his wepon was mince and not even max damage....some crafter sword I think and no not HoD or anything... he clearly didnt understand how mods worked and he only had 1 part of 15k plate (I was standing there in a full set)...ILMAO whats with that?

Alright, I run the Thirsty River mission on my necromancer. I usually charge between 3-5k per person on a run. On this particular run I was asking 4k. I got two people quickly, and this one person asks if I'll do it for 2k...I wanted to go ahead and do the run, so I said that would be fine. I lay down the usual rules for them: skip the cutscene, don't Leeroy, pay before the last boss. Ask if everyone's ready and has got their money, and we're off.

So, pretty much the entire mission this kid (level 14 N/Me) is running about 20 feet in front of me, pulling aggro and taking all kinds of attention from the healer henchies but somehow never actually dying. He talks to the priest first, so my minions have to catch up--annoying, but not really a big deal. Whenever I'm fighting, he brags constantly about his amazing 31 damage Spiteful Spirit...again, annoying but no big deal. Well, we get to the last part, and it quickly becomes apparent that he's gone afk...with the priest following him. Meaning we can't go on with the mission until he gets back. THAT'S a problem, since my minions are steadily getting weaker the whole time he's gone. After about two and a half minutes (-7 degen for my minions) he comes back, and we can finally get on with the mission. Kill the warrior's team in a minute fifteen, refresh my army, all is well. This fool then proceeds to aggro the ranger's team when I'm obviously about to attack the Monk, and for some reason everyone follows his lead...stupid, but then if I had to rely on them I wouldn't be charging. I kill the monk's team with no problems, and now it's time to collect payment. At this point, one person pays like they're supposed to. Another is dead in enemy territory...no big deal, he seems trustworthy. Well, the N/Me has conveniently left his money in town. Anyone who's done runs knows what that means, but I had two legitimate customers so I wasn't going to just leave and waste their time. I finish the mission, and yeah, he doesn't pay. Big surprise.

It probably wouldn't have annoyed me quite so much, except that I know he's still running around out there giving necromancers a bad name. -_-;

I have a new one. I was on my level 10 Mesmer, taking a short break in Ascalon City after finishing some quests. As soon as I zone in and begin to walk around I get a blind invite from a level 20 mesmer. He asks what magics I use, and I tell him Domination and Inspiration. He then says ''oh, nvm''. I tell him that I use a little bit of illusion, too. Well, he then wants to see what I have (a cruddy pre-sear staff), and he puts up a gold cane (9-17 dmg, req. 8 illusion, energy +3 while hexed). I politely say ''No thanks, I prefer staves" (Why would I dump 8 points into illusion magic when I am level 10? I try to spread my points out, with my class-exclusive attribute being 1-2 points higher than the rest.) He then puts up Gorrel's Staff, and I say ''Holy Cow'', while at the same time thinking ''Yeah right''. He then closes the trade and runs off, and I ask him what was wrong. He then says "All you had to say was you wanted a staff." Funny thing is, I told him that I "preferred staves", I never said ''Want''. He then proceeds to not respond to me for about 5 minutes. Well, just to experiment', I jokingly tell him that ''I would gladly accept the staff" He says ''Ok'' and puts me on ignore. Wow, he really impressed "that nubz0r" with his "[email protected] green" staff that he will "[email protected]" have.

Oh well, he can keep taunting new players with his "[email protected] gr33n staff", I will be rolling in the ectos with my solo mesmer, and laugh at him "digitally".

I can be one sometimes, especially when it's late in the random arena's... I hate leavers and i tend to remember who it was that left my party, then if i spot em in my team again, I zone out asp....

So I had this mesmer who left twice when we had a wa/mo in our party, the first time he says "PALLY NOOBS SUCK", the second time, a few battles later he just says nothing and zones out.

So off i go back to random again, and guess what, the mesmer was again in my party, this time with a monk and a necro (I was ele/mes atm). So I go "WTF NO PALLYS???" and zone back to the random arena's.... so that was me being a jerk, got pm-d by one of the other guys in that team "lol".

Apparently that team won, because when entered again I was again teamed with the mesmer, I left again (he did it two times to me, so i thought i can do it two times to him), but the same guy who pm-d me send another pm "WTF?". I explain the situation and say, maybe the mesmer will start thinking twice before leaving, his response was "yea, but now you involve two people who had nothing to with that and that's jerkish". He was so right, i apoligized and promised never to do it again.... but it's just a flaw of me or something, as I loved playing my wa/mo (adjusted tho) in the arena's and got so much hassle over it and that still bugs me.
